Role Overview
We are looking for an energetic and creative Public Relations & Outreach Specialist to strengthen ESChE’s public image, engage members, and expand awareness of the society’s mission and activities. This role is essential to building partnerships, increasing member participation, and enhancing the visibility of the chemical engineering profession in Ethiopia.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute communication strategies for ESChE’s programs, events, and initiatives.
- Manage ESChE’s digital presence across social media, website, newsletters, and press releases.
- Coordinate outreach activities with universities, industries, sister societies, and government institutions.
- Support promotion of the annual conference, publications, and membership drives.
- Produce engaging content highlighting success stories, research contributions, and member achievements.
- Strengthen regional and student chapter engagement through consistent communication support.
Qualifications
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
- Strong writing, content creation, and digital communication skills.
- Experience managing social media and public-facing communications.
- Ability to build partnerships and represent the society professionally.
- Interest in STEM advocacy and professional engagement.
